This Course meets the requirements for Maryland Concealed Carry Permit. In this Two-Day Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals class instructed by USCCA Instructors, which meets requirements for a concealed carry permit in the state of Maryland, you will learn about or be refreshed on the basics of self defense, home defense,
and concealed carry.
This includes:
● Understanding and using conflict avoidance to prevent escalation as well as the importance of de-escalation
● Understanding and using situational awareness
● Home Security and developing a home defense plan
● Understanding use of force and proper escalation of force in a self-defense scenario
● Basic shooting fundamentals and concepts
● Physiology of violent encounters - how your body responds to high stress situations
● How to handle the mental and legal aftermath of a self-defense situation
Additional topics may include discussion on what makes a good concealed carry gun, as well as discussion around gear such as concealed carry holsters and the differences between types and styles.

Maryland HQL - What is an HQL?
HQL is unless otherwise exempt, as of October 1, 2013, a Maryland resident must possess a valid Handgun Qualification License (HQL) before he/she may purchase, rent, or receive a handgun. You do not need a Handgun Qualification License to own a gun you already have. The Handgun Qualification License is only needed for purchasing, transferring, or renting a regulated firearm after October 1, 2013.
We can provide the 4 hour HQL class that is required to purchase a handgun.
